In this review, I'll be reviewing the PS4 first and then the XBOX ONE, then finally , I'll compare the XBOX ONE with the PS4 and see how it fares against it.
THE PS4
The PS4 is the 4th version of the Playstation consoles from Sony. It is controlled by the Dual Shock 4 controller which also has a wireless bluetooth option. It costs about $400 in the US and about Rs.40,000 in India.

THE USER INTERFACE
The PS4 UI looks really classy with a light blue background. When playing a game, at any stage, you can press the PlayStation button to go back to the home screen.The Menu screen in the PS4 is known as the Dynamic Menu. The response is quite flawless and works like a dear. The dynamic menu rearranges itself, with the most recent games to the left and the least used to the right. PS4 has also got an app called What's New, which is basically PlayStation Network's Newsfeed.

The Difference in the graphics of the PS3 and the PS4 is mammoth. It has a whopping 8GB GDDR5 RAM
compared to the mere 256 MB GDDR3 VRAM.
VERDICT ALPHA
The PS4 is one force to reckon with. The future proofed specs look too good to be true. It can sure make the XBOX ONE look bad.
THE XBOX ONE
The XBOX ONE is the successor of the XBOX 360, from the XBOX console series from Microsoft.

The XBOX ONE console doesn't look really sleek and stylish like the PS4 console, but looks more like a 90s DVD Player than a top console.
One Good thing about the console is the quietness and pleasantness of the console, while running. The XBOX ONE too has gone Digital-only, with only HDMI ports. There are also 3 USB ports on the back of the controller.

One aspect in which the XBOX ONE is better than the PS4 is the cool look of it's controller. But, the controller is powered by AA batteries, while the PS4 has irremovable rechargable batteries. Still, the batteries don't get depleted easily.
The XBOX UI is quite close to the Windows 8 OS, with the Live Tiles Menu. One flaw in the UI is that you can't access advanced functions easily and have to go through a lot of menus before you get there. |

COMPARISON
HARDWARE
The PS4 is very well designed and small, when compared to the XBOX ONE which is a ponderous behemoth. But still, because of it's size, the XBOX ONE has an advantage. There are more air vents which prevent the heating up of the console.

The graphics in the PS4 is better than the XBOX graphics and the games are smoother and offers softer gameplay. This is quite obvious while playing COD:Ghosts and Assassin's creed:Unity.

Both the controllers are better than their previous versions and have their own advantages and flaws.

Overall, I think that the PS4 is better than the XBOX ONE even though is it seriously good. Keep it up Sony. All the best Microsoft.
